On my way out of the office/computer room/balagan room after writing the previous entry, I crashed into the doorway.  Who the heck crashes into a doorway?

Moreover, who crashes into a doorway, writes about it, and publishes it on the web?

isn't she the second-best daughter ever?

Holy Driessenites!  It's the Sanna of total Gu-ness!  And she's BACK with a BLOG that she didn't TELL me about because I just had to FIND OUT for MYSELF via my own stupid tagboard! Yay!

So here's the question:  Discounting Avodah Zarah (which, trust me, I don't do very easily...but this is just hypothetical...I'm not that much of a heretic...), which of the following religions would you rather join?

  • A religion based on Casey Driessen
  • A religion based on Cheerios.  Yes, the cereal.

You may answer anonymously if you wish by clicking on the angsty button at the bottom the profile section (to the left of these here nifty words) ("Contact Me").  And if you don't know who Casey Driessen is, I suggest you find out fast.  If you don't know what Cheerios are, you need some help.

Whoaaaa!  Shavuot starts tomorrow! And I'm spending it etzel haSpitzerim!  Yay Spitzers who invite people over for chaggim! (Translation:  Thank you!!)  And then there's next week of school d'review.  And then there's FINALS!  Speaking of which, I have Spanish final tomorrow.  HOLY SPANIARDS.  TOMORROW.

'Night, Layla Tov, <foreign_language> Good night </foreign_language>

my water cooler sounds like edgar meyer.

I'll do you the honor of explaining the title of this entry within the entry itself!  Now there's a first!

Okay, so here's the deal:  Our water cooler thingy makes really obnoxious "grrrrrrrm" noises periodically.  It did so during dinner today, to which my dad responded "Will you please tell that thing to shut up?"  At about the same time as he said that, I muttered under my breath "It sounds like Edgar Meyer."  My sister Liz heard me, and apparently we can read each other's minds because immediately we broke into the beginning of Nickel Creek's "Smoothie Song."  (Don't look at me like that! I do realize it is an instrumental, but I can still sing it, so ha!)

For those of you who do not know of Edgar Meyer and his amazingness, he is an upright bass player, and possibly one of the most famous ever to grace the earth.  Rightfully so, for he is also one of the best to ever touch the instrument.  So the water cooler sounded like a long, low, bowed sound.  Yeah...I think I took up enough space with that little tidbit of uselessness.

This entry is hereby dedicated to this individual and his parents for a not-so-random yet much appreciated act of chesed.  Thank you!!

the amazing antelope.

What Kind of Elitist Are You?

Your CD collection is almost as big as your ego, and you can most likely play an instrument or three. You're a real hit at parties, but you're SO above karaoke. What people love: You're instant entertainment. Unless you play the oboe. What people hate: Your tendency to sing louder than the radio and compare everything to a freaking song.
Take this
Okay, the CD collection and the ego thing are actually probably proportional to each other.  And I do play multiple instruements.  I am only a hit at parties when I am ASKED to play.  I don't usually volunteer it.  Ever. Unless there is an acoustic jam session going on, in which case I am always right out there, playing along.
There is nothing wrong with oboes.  Strings are just better.
I don't sing with the radio because i am always listening to a CD of some sort.  Usually it's instrumental, too...
I do compare stuff to songs, but not songs with lyrics.  I think lyrics are often overrated, and I connect with the music FAR more than the words.  As in, I am more likely to learn to learn a melody of a song without actually learning the words.  Come to think of it, I don't know some of the words to some of my all time favorite songs-with-words.  That's not so great.
